99% of Australians 18-29 are on Facebook, with Mark Zuckerberg doing all he can to keep people there. We wanted to take ‘Optus Perks’ to the people, and with Australians being one of the most engaged audiences on Facebook Messenger globally, it was the natural platform to interact with people one-on-one, in an environment they are native to. By gamifying their experience with the Optus Perks program, we hoped to engage Optus customers like never before, and the deliver the ‘wow’ which was the objective of this campaign. In an Australian first, we created a promotional Chat Bot using the Facebook Messenger platform.
